Would like to change whois in ACP

I would like to change the whois that is under Manage users to whatismyipaddress.com/ip/

I looked at it seems it's in functions_user.php at line 1418, but my edit didn't seem to work. Looks like there is more going on here. How can I change this?

You found the correct function in the code but to fetch the information it uses the whois protocol for which whatismyipaddress.com doesn't offer an API, it seems.

Okay, thanks. I guess I'll leave it as is. I would like to make a request to add that service, but the topic to ask for features in phpBB isn't here anymore. I know Xenforo uses that website.
