That makes sense since phpBB doesn't have OGP tags as a default.

Well, like RMcGirr said, it's probably due to cloudflare being active on your site. That caches quite some stuff which is a good thing, but you'll have to wait for your changes to be pushed through all their servers.

Other wordpress website also using cloud flare, their link has thumbnail pictures in whatsapp, i just tested it

Well one way to find out for certain would be to disable cloud flare.

i am sorry for asking which might looks like silly question, which ext are you talking about, i couldnt find any ext that related to whatsapp

i just paused clould flare and put the code on (also purge cache) still not showing,

sorry, doesnt work

, it show thumbnail on facebook (but it shows image preview in facebook by default, no need to set nothing)

My extension does exactly the opposite: it parses OGP data from pasted links and shows it as thumbnails in the posts. If I understand your question correctly, you want pasted links to your website to show a thumbnail, a title and a description, on apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.

If you want that, you need to add this data to your site. First step is to read an understand the basics of OGP by visiting http://ogp.me/
Second, you need to place this in you overall_header.php file:

<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
<meta property="og:url" content="{U_CANONICAL}" />

That's it. You can expand this with various options and logic, but the above is the very basic requirement.
