Custom Error Pages

Post by Shaneee » Thu Feb 14, 2019 8:13 pm

Hello. I'm running phpBB 3.2.5 and I'm trying to add custom error pages. I've added this to my .htaccess file,

Code: Select all

ErrorDocument 400 /400.html
ErrorDocument 401 /401.html
ErrorDocument 403 /403.html
ErrorDocument 404 /404.html
ErrorDocument 500 /500.html
With the corresponding html files in the forum root but they don't show. I did the exact same for the home page of my site and they load just fine. Any suggestions?

This is correct. PhpBB uses its own error handler.
I was thinking there was an extension that allowed you to modify those though.

Hmm if I enter random characters after my forum domain I just get the standard text 500 error...

Your error 500 is not normal phpbb behaviour.
Is it the same in the prosilver style?

you will need to contact your host about this.

there is something different about how the server is setup for your subdomain and error pages etc.
