You either haven't uploaded all the files or you have uploaded them to the incorrect directory. As noted in the post previous to yours, there is an error in the install instructions. The directory structure in the Zip file is correct, so just upload the unzipped files in the root directory to the root directory of your board and you should be fine. Once you have verified that the files are uploaded correctly, purge your cache.

This is the directory structure in the Zip file (Root folder):

adm
--style
----acp_import_users.html
includes
--acp
----info
------acp_import_users.php
----acp_import_users.php
language
--en
----email
------user_import.txt
----mods
------acp_import_users.php
------info_acp_import_users.php

I did so and I was asked to overwrite the existing folders.

I did.
There are in all just 6 files to be uploaded, isn't it?...

A list will be displayed upon completion showing which users were imported and which users were not imported.

Any idea why it will only import one line at a time?

Yes, there are just 6 files to be uploaded.

The language string {ACP_IMPORT_USERS} is in language\en\mods\info_acp_import_users.php. Possibly this file is being corrupted when you upload it. language\en\mods\acp_import_users.php may also be corrupted causing the blank page.

You csv file may not be in the correct format. Are the line endings in DOS format (cr/lf)?

Hey,

What's the optimum way of producing the CSV file? I'm using Excel

using this in the csv

Code: Select all

"test2","password","email@email.com"
Getting this after preview:

Code: Select all

username*: """test2""
user_password*: ""password""
user_email*: ""email@email.com"""
which isn't right...

delimiter = ,
enclosure = * - (tried using " but preview just shows user as "test2","password","email@email.com")
email = hashed

values are OK

What am I missing here?

Well I sorted it,

Excel was adding extra speech marks on the start and end of my data

I saved the file in Excel as a text file, opened it in a text editor, deleted the speech marks, then changed the file extension to .csv

Hello,

Thank you very much for this plugin. It works greate. I'm surprised that such a feature is not provided in the basic package of phpBB.

Here is a small contribution with a translation and some remarks.

I've made the translations for the French language. I give them as an attachment of this message. Just unzip the file and copy the content of the "root" directory into the root directory of your forum. Just like the install of the plugin.
It is for version 1.0.0a (2009-04-02).

I've also few remarks for the plugin version 1.0.0a:
- The zip file contains an empty folder. It may failed to unzip because of this. But you can open the zip file, and unzip the other folders with no problems.
- The field "Board Default Date Format (php date)" which appears in the plugin's page seems to be used nowhere in the code.
- The field "user_regdate" which appears in the plugin's page can import only integer values that are PHP timestamps. It refers to the user first registration date.
- In the code, the internal version is set to 1.0.0 instead of 1.0.0a (ok, who cares...).
- There is a typo error in the "acp_import_users.php" file. It should be 'Your password" instead of 'You password".

My two cents...
Have a nice day,

I'm getting this error:

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/acp/acp_import_users.php on line 431: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed
Any clues?

Preview didn't show anything, so I went to submit and got this error.

If the preview doesn't show anything:
1) There may be a problem with the format of your csv file
2) There may be a problem with the delimiters and separators you you specified.
3) You may have identified the fields incorrectly.

Nevermind, managed to import them using a dump of the users table, manually.

I tried to install this mod and got to the part to adding the module in the acp. I thought I correctly added it per the instructions, however, when I now click under Module Management -> ACP I get the following error:
General Error
Module not accessible

Please notify the board administrator...
I have access to the db and ftp account to do anything manually if needed.

I have about 200 members I need to import so I would like to get this working asap.

Any suggestions on correcting the "General Error"?

Thanks so much. The repairing modules function actually didn't work. It was the fix left/right function that did the trick.
