Is it possible to import a Ning network forum into a phpBB forum? I'm not as concerned about the user info as much as just being able to save the discussion threads. My Ning network will be going away soon since I'm choosing not to upgrade to a pro account, which means I'll lose all of the topics in our forum unless someone has a way of importing or migrating that stuff into phpBB. I have not heard if Ning will offer an API for migrating to a phpBB forum... has anyone else? Or do you know of a way to do this?

I was about to ask if there is a way to backup your discussions and then I see this, Content Archive Tool.
Depending on the format of that archive file, you will need to find a way to convert that into an sql file which can then be imported into phpBB.

We developed a ning to phpbb import tool. This is not a real phpbb convertor but a hack.

Is there any tool another way round? Migration from phpBB to Ning? Mainly user data needed but also old posts would be nice.
