Need help converting my http://www.slottrack.com forum

Post by Cenobytez »

Hi guys!

I need help converting the http://www.slottrack.com forum. This IP.Board forum has been running for several years now and the people behind it want to close it down and reboot it on some kind of Facebook forum. I would really love to continue this forum (and the current administrator is happy to hand it over to me), but I really don't like or know the IP.Board software. Since I'm running another phpBB forum for over 10 years now, I would really love to migrate this forum to phpBB since maintaining it would be much easier for me that way.

My biggest problem at hand is converting the current database. I can't seem to find the version of the software that the forum is currently running on but the bottom of the site states that it is an IP.Board forum. I presume it's their most recent software. Is there a way to convert the database to phpBB 3? :)

Thanks!

The Administration Control Panel should have the version number listed somewhere.

Do you have access to the database and files?

I don't know if it is related to the board version, but the garage version is 3.1.

I would presume like you, that the board version is 3.x. Unfortunately, there is not a convertor at this time to convert IPB 3.x to phpBB3.
Have you hugged someone today?
