Convert from Fireboard to phpBB3

Hallo everyone!

I'm new here and i would like to ask for your help.
Is there any way to convert my fireboard forum to the latest phpBB 3.0.RC3 Release?

Hi,

I am also looking for a way to convert my forum from fireboard to phpbb.

My forum's users will not be very excited if they will loose their posts,
and this is the major reason that I did not moved on to phpbb.

Convert from

Fireboard to SMF

then Convert from

SMF to phpBB2

then Convert from

phpBB2 to phpBB3

Attachments, Child boards and permissions will get lost and the possibility of signatures as well.

Always prepare and back up before trying anything.

Use default styles, themes and templates in all before trying. Sort out child boards and minimse and clean up as much as possible before.

SIMPLFY IT - this is for those who are desperate to move...
you will loose attachments, child boards and permissions (and I lost signatures as well)

I don't know exactly where the attachments and so forth were lost, but there will be an SMF -> phpBB3 convertor that would eliminate a step, and possibly preserve that data

I would be interested in seeing this work as well. Fireboard is really noting more then an updated simpleboard. The process should be straight forward. Even if it was a FB to phpbb2, it would work. I tired to do it manually though phpmyadmin but the password hash through me for a loop. SMF has soem built in limitation that make it impossible to use for the FB that i am using.

If you are thinking of moving to fireboard from phpbb or smf... wait! it's not worth it! I regret moving from smf... now looking to convert to phpBB3

Has anyone successfully moved from FB to PHPBB3? Care to share how it went, anything we need to watch out for and do you have a clear guide on how you did it?

Well, it seems that there is none, who has successfully converted from Fireboard to PHPBB3.
I want to convert from Fireboard to PHPBB3 too, is there anybody, who can help?

This is about as close as you are going to get unless someone else is willing to pick it up and update the conversion.

Thanks a lot.
I read it briefly and it seems that the problem is on Joomla password.
It shouldn't be a problem because I'll use JFusion (a Joomla extension) to link Joomla and PHPBB3, hence membership will be shared among Joomla and PHPBB3.
