So what are we looking at? The bottom one looks like a typical phpBB board. The top one looks like the style is out-of-date or something. For instance, the "(0 new messages)" is missing completely.

Is your Anonymous user missing or something?

The top one was the result after the import.

I can upload the local site. But the live site already has three new users and a couple of new posts/threads that the local site does not have. Is there a easy way backup this data before I upload and overwrite the live database ?

no, because it is not for converting smf to phpbb

it is for converting php NUKE to phpbb3.
