Contact your hosting provider and tell them to increase the number, from 25 to much more than that.

Then your only other option is to find a better host.

There is nothing within phpBB that can reduce the number of connections.

Maybe someone knows where i can only rent a mysql database without web space.
Then I could use this as an external database

That would be hugely more complicated than just finding a decent host without such a tiny limit.

The point is that for every request, there is a database connection. That includes real persons as well as bots like Google and such.
You can try to prevent people and bots to visit your board, but what's the point in having a board than?

Just find a decent host with 21st century settings.
My extensions:
Simple CMS, Feed post bot, Avatar Resize, Modbreak, Magic OGP, Live topic update, Modern Quote, Quoted Where (GDPR) and Autoresponder.
Newest: FAQ manager for 3.2

Like my work? Buy me a coffee to keep it coming. :ugeek:

Just be aware that a limit of 25 is still pitifully low for a forum. As your site gains momentum, sooner or later you will hit the limit again and you'll have to move hosts. Sometimes bots are a good thing in terms of indexing and spreading the news of your site. That code is only delaying the inevitable.
