Updating or Recreating an Extension

Post by JohnHern »

Title/Job Description:
Update or Recreate the HIDE BBcode extension

Target audience: (e.g. professionals, hobbyists, students)
Unknown

Reward: (e. g. money, backlinks, fame)
Whatever it costs to be honest

Deadline:
As soon as possible

Preferred contact method: (e.g. PM, e-mail)
PM is fine

Link to the board:
I am not really understanding this part, either its to my own site, or the extension link.
The extension link is viewtopic.php?f=501&t=2279486

Where my own site can be provided by PM.

Detailed description of the tasks:

Funny enough, I am using:
PHP version: 7.0.33
Board version: 3.2.5

This extension works as advertised (and I need it for the board itself because it hides specific parts of topics until replied to, every topic uses it).

I haven't been able to find a different ext that does the same thing, and actually works.

However, this one breaks the /feed.php

E.g. if you go to the url.com/feed.php it will show a 500 error.

If I remove the "BBCODE" it uses (<!-- HIDE_BBCODE -->{TEXT}<!-- /HIDE_BBCODE -->) then the feed works again.

I need the feed because I was using it for a different site, to feed posts to.

However, if I also remove the above BBCODE, it fails to work any longer.

I would like someone to revamp that extension, and use it without breaking the feed, while still doing what it needs to do.
