Forums not matching

Post by orschiro »

Hey guys!

I have a strange problem.

If I access my forum via http://philundrob.bplaced.net (the URL of the hosting provider), my forum is outdated.

The latest threads are not there.

If I access it via the mapped domain https://philundrob.de/index.php, all the latest threads are there.

Any ideas what could be causing this difference?

Thank you!

Both of the url’s you supplied are different and possibly incorrect. What does http://philundrob.bplaced.net/phpBB3/ look like to you? The topics look up to date to me and it appears to be the correct url but, if I were you, I’d double check what it should be with your host. You could show them both the url’s.

Depending on the result in the first paragraph, your cookie domain at the moment shows .philundrob.de and it should be philundrob.bplaced.net if the url I supplied is correct, see Fixing incorrect cookie settings. Come back if the answer from your host is different.

Thank you Mick!

philundrob.de is the domain I want to use for the forum.

Here is the domain mapping:

Regarding content being different:

On http://philundrob.bplaced.net/phpBB3/ this is the last topic from Jun 4:

On this domain we have 3 users (this guy I already had deleted):

Image

On this domain we have the following favicon (the new one):

On this domain we have all extensions available that I uploaded:

On philundrob.de the last topic is from Jun 11:

Image

On this domain we have 2 users (this is correct):

On this domain we have this favicon (the old one, so incorrect):

On this domain we don't have all extensions available that I uploaded:

What could be causing this difference?

Are you sure the same set of files is being used on both? I see a slightly different logo on the second one.

It looks a bit like 2 different installations. The other possibility is the hosts are using a cache like cloudflare and it's not updating on one of those.

Good point! Also the logo is different. One is still using the old one.

It's definitely the same installation.

I guess I need to check with the provider then...

I found the problem!

The host changed IP addresses and I didn't update them on the DNS settings.
