Real Name SQL Query

Post by sekellas »

Greetings all,

I took over the forums for a larger volunteer group a while ago, where members didn't always use their names when they registered for user accounts. The former webmaster did not make this mandatory.

So now I have user accounts with Star Wars themed names, but not a Real name to link them too.

The forums are also nearly 22 years old, and the desire is to keep them comprised only of active members of the group, and move inactive members into an inactive/retired usergroup.

My goal is to use the phpbb database in PHPmyAdmin to query all usernames and the real names for these usernames, so that I can verify who is active and not and clean up who actually has access to our forums.

However, I am unsure how to query this in SQL and could use some help.

Does anyone have any suggestions:

Ideally the username and real name are on the same line, or the username is on top and the real name below... this way I can take the final list that I get from the database and fill in names on the profiles that don't have real names.

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Scott

Don't do that, use the members search function from phpbb to find those members.
Sorry! My English is bat ;) !!!

by default there is no "real name" associated with the username.
if the board had some type of MOD installed that allowed or required someone to also provide a real name along with the username during registration then there would be a database entry for real name. otherwise there won't be one at all.

yes, I forgot about that.
however , I believe the OP did say that real name was not required on the board.

But a CPF does not have to be mandatory
