I started out with an old database for 3.0.12, but no files. To get the board up again, I brought in a clean set of files for version 3.3.2, and then went to the install page to do a database update. The database update stoped with an error message at 80 something percent. Unfortunately, I did not record details.
If I rerun the database output, it gives me this error:
Code: Select all
<b>General Error:</b><br><br> in file /var/www/html/forum/phpbb/db/driver/driver.php on line 1020<br><br>
Code: Select all

The forum was mostly working despite this, except when I opened some topics I got an error message (again, unfortunately not recorded) related to the Google+ profile field. I simply deleted the Google+ entry from the profile fields table in the database, and it solved that specific issue.
I have not encountered any other trouble - my forum seems to be working great despite the failed update. Still, I don't want to end up with a corrupted database and I am worried this will cause problems with future updates.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Or just how to find out more about what the bot update step does so I can investigate it?
