AVATAR in UPLOAD no longer APPEAR

Post by Annies »

Who ?
https://www.forum-bassin.com/forum/
version phpBB 3.3.3
PHP Version 7.3.27
Syle SE Square Left

What ?
The problem is about;
- avatars Upload, all at once last week (without any action on our part on the PCA or hosted files for many month) no longer appear. It displays the message "member avatar" instead.

A Recap of tests and tests done
- the image files in the UPLOAD folder are present.-
- the display link returned by the file.php be https://www.forum-bassin.com/forum/down ... 121732.jpg gives error
- AVATAR in Gallery are OK and appear
- UPLOAD a new AVATAR file , the file go in the UPLOAD file OK, But not appear

B manipulations made without success
- the attributes of the FORUM folder files are: IMAGES 777, AVATARS 777, UPLOAD 777 !!! OK
- UPLOAD files .htaccess and index.htm and download file files.php and index.htm have been returned to the server OK
- a migration of 3.3.0 to 3.3.3 was made OK
- remove in the PCA the ability to use avatars, then purge, then hand over the possibility, then purge KO
- dump all files in UPLOAD, then purge, then create (the file its correctly dump in Donwload) But not appear KO

C avatar this does not come from PCA settings, files, folders, programs, host .. remains the database. And as the files are not there ... that there may be that would disrupt the operation

D So the picture is good No disturbances
PROFIL CHANGE /CREATE THE AVATAR function works with the GALERY
The phpBB display function of the avatar from the GALERY works in the profile and in the forum
One can rule out a liability of the Apache server since the same image appears or not in the profile of the next member it comes from Gallery in direct link OK or upload by file.php KO

E Where file.php reads in the database the profile of the member and may be the link of the file in upload
Then the problem would be this info could be disrupted
So how to reset this info?

thank very for your assitance
We have not a solution in my country

I am seeing a blank line at the top of the output from file.php.
I am guessing it is originating either at the top of config.php, or one of the language files.
If I remove that blank line, I am seeing a valid image for your avatars.

Thank you very much for your support
I dont see the blank line, but maybe I don't know how to look
If I remove that blank line, I am seeing a valid image for your avatars.
how do you remove it ?

Sorry I don't have any programming knowledge
I have a old program MICROSOFT EXPRESSION WEB 4 . With this program I have to be able to clear a line . :D .. if I know where she is.
If not, can you do it?

I don’t understand How you could read and change this file.php which I think is protected by .htaccess ??

I put this file in file.txt

Don’t use any of the MS type text editors use a ‘proper’ editor like notepad++ see: Knowledge Base - Tools needed to set up and customise phpBB specifically the part about text editors and BOM’s. The config.php file is in the root of your board, check that first, and the other files are in the /language folder. Make copies of any files before you edit them just in case. From what I read above I assume file.php is not the actual cause of the problem but another file calling it.

And to clear a blank line, put your cursor at the beginning of the first line you can see and press backspace (Windows) or delete (Mac) 5 or 6 times.

I am assuming the file you attached is file.php. That is not where the blank line is

Hello
Always the same problem
With an idea

the problem was reported to us by a member on March 25 at 9 p.m.
We discovered that the config.php file had been modified on March 25 at 3 p.m.,
by our host, who changed the name of the database

Is there a relationship? The name of the database would be stored elsewhere, and would that be an explanation?

Most likely your host moved your database to another server - it happens from time to time - however it is not very good that they did not inform you of the move in advance.
