Forum Permissions split personality

Wondering why in ACP:

Forums --> Forum Based Permissions --> Forum Permissions

...show differently for Groups compared to...

Permissions --> Forum Based Permissions --> Forum Permissions

after modifying them thru the Forums heading yesterday, noticed they show different when accessed thru the Permissions heading.

If you pick the same forum and the same group, they should be the same.

I find it far simpler to do everything with 'group forum permissions'.
It does what it says. Pick a group, pick a forum, pick a permission.

there were 2 items that were different to my eyes in one group and had fixed it.
maybe had been at it for too long
