signatures & pm

Post by krill »

Hello,
I notice when I send a private message and I review the sent message it contains my sig.
Is this only viewable @ my end or are they actually receiving my pm together with the sig ?

Well? The decision to include the signature is yours, so there wouldn't really be any point in including the signature and then not showing it.

When composing a PM you have the choice to include the signature or not.
Adding a signature is also something you can set as a default (or not) in the ACP
and in the UCP there's also a setting allowing you display signatures by default or not.

Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

oh, I will have to look for that.

I don't mind the sig at posts but when it's a private massage, I really don't want to send the signature or get pm's with signatures... especially when some have images and other distractions on them.

I will check in ucp then.
Thanks warmweer

I can't understand that, I also wouldn't want to be distracted when getting a private massage ;-)
