You could leave World as a category, depending on the rest of you board, but since you are going to split down to countries , then perhaps continents as categories would suit better as the division.
And then it would be more logical to have Africa, Antartica, Asia, Oceania (or Australia) , Europe, America (perhaps split into N & S America) as categories (continents), and then the countries as forums (per continent).

The reason being that subforums are by default organised horizontally and then spill over to the next line

Currently it seems you've made South America a forum with Argentina a subforum, and also Bolivia
but
American Samoa a forum in the Category World with Bolivia as a subforum. (do you probably copied something to speed up matters but forgot to edit).

The above already causes confusion: it should read : Trying to organize categories and forums to match continents and countries.

How deep you're going to classify is up to you but it should be logical:

Code: Select all

Category1 - forum1	- subforum11
				- subforum12
		- forum2 - subforum21
				- subforum22
where subforum11 and subforum12 have forum1 as parent, etc...

BTW if you want subforums listed in 1 column you should have a look at List subforums in columns

edited: after I noticed later that I copy/pasted my unedited testpost
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.
