When you post a URL they are automagically converted to a clickable link. If you check that box they will display as plain text.
This is available in the UCP under board preferences, also note what type of notifications are sent under the notifications settings.2) Can I set the checkbox "Notify me when reply is posted" to be ON by default? How?
Anything is possible but nothing I'm aware of that can easily do this automatically. Minimally you would need username, password and email address to do this. There is is/was an "add user" extension but I don't know if it supports multiple users.3) I am the admin of the Radio Control Airplane club, I have the members list in a csv file. Is there a way for me to upload / import that into the database and not have to enter them one by one? The club has currently some 55 members
There still is but it doesn’t support import at all.thecoalman wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 11:03 amThere is is/was an "add user" extension but I don't know if it supports multiple users
If you installed your board in /phpBB3, then phpBB3 is the root. (others install it in e.g. /forum or /board).
Therefore should not be carried out on a live board until you’re satisfied it does what you want and you have a database backup.david63 wrote:Note I strongly recommend that this extension is used on a test board to ensure that it produces the results that are required and that before using it on a live board that the database is backed up as there is no "undo", "revert" or "restore" options available
Unzipping on the server isn’t recommended as very often the file hierarchy can be broken. You should unzip on your desktop and upload the files using FTP. You’ve probably put it in the wrong place see: Installing extensions.
As previously mentioned, for extension support you need to post here, extension support is via the author not in the general support forums.
To elaborate on what Mick said when you have a folder xyz and someone makes a request for it with no file www.example.com/xyz/. Most servers by default are configured to serve index.html, index.htm or index.php. There could be others and the order is configurable if there is two or more.
