default_charset

Post by thetripperchic »

when i tried to upgrade from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 got default-charset not correct and it should be UTF-8. Well i checked my database and it was all set to UTF-8_bin. Searched and couldn't find a default_charset. so not sure which file to look for it in since it doesn't seem to be the database. Same thing happened when i went from 3.3.2 to 3.3.5. can anyone help.

I had been sick and couldn't keep up with the updates....

I found the file that has that if/then error_default_charset in it. it is in admin/style/acp_main. This, of course doesn't help me figure out how to fix the error.

Also, I only have prosilver with xcreamy style added to it. (i think thats what the style is called)

Just a bit more info on my dilemma.

Tell your host that the default_charset must be set to UTF-8 for the PHP core php.ini directive
