phpBB Support Group Icon - How to implement?

Post by Baroche »

Hello

I notice members of the support group at phpBB have an icon with a lifebuoy in their profiles alongside their posts. I looked for an extension that provides that functionality but could not find one in the Extension Database.

Please how can I implement a similar group icon for my forum. I can design the icons myself in Adobe Fireworks, but how do I implement it? The goal is to make posts by certain member groups more prominent. I found the "color post" extension a bit too loud, and wanted something more subtle that will distinguish posts by specific groups eg. Admin, Mods etc.

Thanks

Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.
