Re: Round Avatars Issue

Post by Talk19Zehn »

Hello ChinaGal, I join the helpers.
Are the graphics square or rectangular (that of your original)? My suspicion is that the graphic shown in the Start-Post is rectangular ...(?).

And what is the CSS like in the lastpostavatar extension actually corrected and/or which CSS arguments were changed where?

clip-path: actually changed are as used?

Thanks

Thank you. The original avatar graphics being used are square on a 1:1 aspect ratio at 225px.

In the lastpostavatar extension we changed the CSS to make the avatars round. This was not something that is standard in the original extension CSS. Otherwise, we did not change anything else.

We are using border-radius because clip-path did not work at all with this extension for some reason.

Seriously, just give a direct link to a live example of the problem. That is by far the best way to tackle this.

chinagal, is there some reason you have not posted a link to your board ? you have been asked several times for one without a response.

if you do not want your link to be published here then you can probably send it in a PM to whomever you are working with on a given problem.

Hi, support via PM uses only one requesting person, - ;) public support is a better way and ...
if the extension *)LastPostAvatar-1.0.3 https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/avatar_in_last_post/

is used, I tested.

*)CSS original complete:

Code: Select all

.lastpostavatar img {
	border: 1px solid #fff;
	display: inline-block;
	margin-right: 4px;
	float: left;
}

.rtl .lastpostavatar img {
	margin-right: 0px;
	margin-left: 4px;
	float: right;
}

.lastpostavatar img:hover {
	border-color: #73BCD1;
}
I´ve changed to: complete(!) ... Test, test, test
The user is responsible for adaptations and pretties ...

Code: Select all

.lastpostavatar img {
	height: 30px;
	border: none !important;
	border-radius: 50%;
	-webkit-clip-path: circle(39.89% at 40% 45.34%);
	clip-path: circle(39.89% at 40% 45.34%);
	display: inline-block;
	margin-right: 4px;
	float: left;
}

.rtl .lastpostavatar img {
	margin-right: 0px;
	margin-left: 4px;
	float: right;
}
BTW: A conceivable approach for this two lines ... (examples(!):

Code: Select all

-webkit-clip-path: circle(11px at center);
clip-path: circle(11px at center);
or

Code: Select all

-webkit-clip-path: circle(50% at 50% 50%);
clip-path: circle(50% at 50% 50%);
is may be possible. The individual case decides and therefore, all proposal are non-binding. Perhaps a clue, an aid.

Regards
