Styling username login triangle

Post by bacon tacon »

The little down-pointing triangle to the right of the username login link (navbar_header) is several pixels higher than it should be in my custom style and I'm struggling to find relevant css. (dropdown-trigger and dropdown-toggle classes seem to affect Username and triangle).

Can anyone suggest what I should be looking at?

Using the webinspector :

colours.css and common.css
look for .dropdown and .pointer

edit: I should look at what I copy/paste before saving :roll:

Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Thanks,I was using Firefox's code inspector but couldn't find anything which doesn't apply to username and triangle.
If I apply display:none to any of these: .username, .dropdown-trigger or .dropdown-toggle, username and triangle disappear. I can't find anything to handle the triangle on its own

div.pointer or .pointer don't seem to select for it at all...

sorry: wrong copy /paste (and I didn't even notice it :oops: )
should be correct this time

common.css
a.header-avatar span::after {
content: '\f0dd';
display: inline-block;
font: normal normal normal 14px/1 FontAwesome;
padding-left: 6px;
padding-top: 2px;
vertical-align: top;
}

Added: that's for prosilver 3.3.3 and you're using style pennymachines for 3.2.2

Thats it! Thank you so much warmweer.
(I'm customizing prosilver 3.3.3 to replace my live but outdated custom style.)
