I wonder if this mod can have a feature of merging double posts done in the past . It would be nice to also have a quick MCP tool for merging double posts.

Also, this mod might have forum based enable feature. I want to enable antidouble post for A,B,C forums, not for all. You may check a primehola's Prime Subject Check contrib folder, it has that feature I mean.
I abandoned all of my mods.

Hum, I don't think it would be interesting because this MOD automatically merges double posts. So if you have it, double posts are impossible, and you haven't to merge double posts...

It's a good idea, i think i will work in this way for the next version.

Best, ;)

Hello.
This one seems like a great mod! But I have a question:
Is it possible to set the time between double-posts during which they're merged? And if not, may this feature appear in the future versions?
For example, on my forum I allow double-posting if 1 hour has passed since previous post.

Hi Toffmonster,

this is already possible. Look at your ACP/Posts/Anti Double Posts. I'm sure you will like this MOD. (BTW: I recommend to read all 4 pages of this thread - it's worth the effort because it keeps you up to date.)

I saw someone else also got this, but I couldn't understand the directions he/she was given. Help please.

Hi,

It's weird. I don't understand why some people have this error and another haven't it.
Go to phpmyadmin, and delete all the line added by the mod in phpbb_config (start with "adp_").
Then, go to this mod settings in your acp, set all the options and then apply the settings.

It will solve your problem.

Best, ;)

The easiest way :

Execute this sql queries in phpmyadmin (the same way you did sql queries includes in the install.xml)

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_enable
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_admins
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_modos
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_auto_edit
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_text_edit
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_days
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_hours
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_mins
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_secs
Best, ;)

The ";" are missing...

Code: Select all

    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_enable;
    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_admins;
    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_modos;
    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_auto_edit;
    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_text_edit;
    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_days;
    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_hours;
    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_mins;
    ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` DROP adp_secs;

This error says that the field does'nt exist.
But if you have correctly installed the MOD, this field exist.

Go to phpmyadmin, select your board's database, go to phpbb_config (last page), checks all field started by "adp_", and then click "delete" in the bottom of the table.

It will delete all the fields added by this mod.

Then, do what i've sayed in my first post for you.

Best, ;)

If there is a smilies limit, it gives errror while merging posts, because two merged posts have to satisfy one post limit.
I abandoned all of my mods.
