Say you type a long post, and your session expires (i.e. you are logged out). When you press submit without this MOD, you are taken to the login screen, and then directed to a blank posting form.

When you submit that post with this MOD, the posting process continues after you log in. This MOD isn't limited just to posting, that's just a convenient example.

What about leaving the posting page accidently, come back and it's gone. does it prevent this too?

Well, I installed it, and miraculously broke nothing. (As in my forum still works.) Haven't seen it in action yet, but I'm sure I will eventually. ;)

No, It does not. However, I see a vbulletin board and it has the feature you asked. That must be something different.
I abandoned all of my mods.

Nope. Personally, I think that's the kind of feature that'd be more appropriate in the browser.

Firefox, for instance, saves tabs. If your browser cashes, you can restore all your tabs. Similarly, it seems like the browser ought to save the contents of a textarea prior to leaving the page, be it because you closed a tab or because you hit the Back button or whatever.

Kinda like with spellcheck, actually. You could add it to a board such that it'd work with IE, Firefox, or whatever browser, or you could just install Firefox, and have spell checking on every board, regardless of whether or not the software has in-built support for it.

I tried to apply this on my 3.0.2 board and shows an error.
Any one knows how to solve this? Any new release planned?
