Re: Log connections

Post by Elglobo »

Hi all,

During this last weeks, I was away completely from the Web.
For information, the MOD log connections is completely compatible with phpBB 3.0.4, except for two minor issues. I am going to update the third message of this topic, with information about that.

The next version of this MOD will be out in march 2009, many new features will appear ;)

Hi there,

I just updated my phpbb from 3.0.2 to 3.0.3 and have this mod. I am getting the following error:

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/db/dbal.php on line 504: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1 [1064]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

**

I used the auto updater. Could this error be from the mod?

Thanks!

Can you please make it possible that the mod also shows the visitor's/user's/guest's location?

Hello elglobo,

great MOD, thanks for it. In a PM I´ve send you the german translation, so you can use it by your next release.

I have only one small problem, if I klick at the Users IP, it shows me nothing, in my Status Bar, (Mouse over) it shows only like this: 87.168, but the complete IP is 87.168.196.172.

Maybe a result of my testing the MOD, by the Option, not log IP´s, i´ve wrote 87.168*, but now after I delete this wildcard it is still the same. What can I do?

I use PhpBB3 Vers. 3.04

Hello,

go to ACP - Module Management - Administration Control Panel -

go to a Kategorie like MODS ( if you have ) or open an new Kategorie

CREATE NEW MODULE - named LOG CONNECTIONS

after at the right side ADD MODULE

look in the list for CONNECTION LOG

add the two Modules and aktivate them

purge the Cache and Templates

thats it

Hi All,

I have an issue (or may be BUG) with this mod.

When I selected open "Disable logging of connections from administrators:" to Yes to disable all Admin connection logs, it also stopped all users' connection log as well ??

Why this would happen ? Is there any way to troubleshoot ? or Does that mean that all registered users are Administrators ?

Urgent help will be appreciated please

Thanks
YB

Code: Select all

Find:
$log[$i]['action'] = @vsprintf($log[$i]['action'], $log_data_ary);
but on my function_admin.php it's:

Code: Select all

$log[$i]['action'] = vsprintf($log[$i]['action'], $log_data_ary);
(without the "@")

should I add the @?

Oh i see, thanks! Why doesn't the author didn't add in the changes from the 3rd post and just upgrade the mod version???

Also, when I added:

Code: Select all

 'LOG_AUTH_FAIL_NO_PASSWORD'      => '<strong>Failure</strong> - no password supplied<br />» %s',

It still doesn't appear in the drop down menu.

Also, shouldn't it be

Code: Select all

'LOG_AUTH_FAIL_NO_PASSWORD'     => '<strong>Failure</strong> - No password supplied<br />» %s',
not

Code: Select all

'LOG_AUTH_FAIL_NO_PASSWORD'     => '<strong>Failure</strong> - No password supplied<br />» %s',
(the character "A" after the <br /> is missing in the suggestion when the other lines have it)

also, did anyone notice if this mod interferes with the Log New User's mod? I just noticed that new users aren't being logged anymore, and this Log Connections mod is the only new mod I've added lately. Can anyone verify this?
