Hi ranman22,

There is no problem with this MOD for a 3.0.2 forum. I think that is your forum which it isn't up to date ;)

Elglobo --

I'm happy to report that my second attempt at this mod went flawless. This is a great mod -- I like seeing the detail of how much the system is getting used and by whom. It's especially nice to be able to see the bad login attempts.

Thanks for taking the time to write it and support it -- well done.

Hi Elglobo,

when searching/filtering by username or IP, there is no pagination available.

Is there a possibility to fix this? This is very important for greater log-lists :!:

You know, I would really like to get this Mod installed, but this part makes me crazy.
Find
Tip:This may be a partial find and not the whole line.

Code:Select All

return array(
'status' => LOGIN_ERROR_ATTEMPTS,
'error_msg' => 'CONFIRM_CODE_WRONG',
'user_row' => $row,
);
}
}
Add before
Tip:Add these lines on a new blank line before the preceding line(s) to find.

Code:Select All

//-- mod : log connections --------------------------------------------------------
//-- add
if (!$user->data['is_registered'])
{
add_log('connections', $row['user_id'], 'LOG_AUTH_FAIL_CONFIRM');
}
//-- end : log connections --------------------------------------------------------
Find
Tip:This may be a partial find and not the whole line.

Code:Select All

else
{
return array(
'status' => LOGIN_ERROR_ATTEMPTS,
'error_msg' => 'CONFIRM_CODE_WRONG',
'user_row' => $row,
);
}
Replace With
Tip:Replace the preceding line(s) to find with the following lines.

Code:Select All

else
{
//-- mod : log connections --------------------------------------------------------
//-- add
if (!$user->data['is_registered'])
{
add_log('connections', $row['user_id'], 'LOG_AUTH_FAIL_CONFIRM');
}
//-- end : log connections --------------------------------------------------------
return array(
'status' => LOGIN_ERROR_ATTEMPTS,
'error_msg' => 'CONFIRM_CODE_WRONG',
'user_row' => $row,
);
}
Find
Tip:This may be a partial find and not the whole line.

Code:Select All

return array(
'status' => LOGIN_ERROR_PASSWORD_CONVERT,
'error_msg' => 'LOGIN_ERROR_PASSWORD_CONVERT',
'user_row' => $row,
);
}
Add before
Tip:Add these lines on a new blank line before the preceding line(s) to find.

Code:Select All

//-- mod : log connections --------------------------------------------------------
//-- add
if (!$user->data['is_registered'])
{
add_log('connections', $row['user_id'], 'LOG_AUTH_FAIL_CONVERT');
}
//-- end : log connections --------------------------------------------------------
This kinda stuff is 3x in the auth_db.php and always looks kinda the same, I really lost it on which of those 3 to put what. Aargghh... :shock:

Would someone please be so nice to copy me the content of his auth_db.php so I can just replace it and not get crazy ? I don´t have altered this File before, so please, if you are so nice and copy your´s here or send me via PM, please only if you also only have the alterations of that Mod in this File. If there are more mods that you have changed stuff in this File, i can´t use that because I don´t know which stuff I have to remove.
I hope that made sense. :o

Thank you in advance.

Hi Wolfseye,

For information, this 3 parts are not exactly the same. (Check spaces and error_msg), you'll understand.
Then, you have to follow the install.xml chronologically ...

Now, to help you, you'll find this file modified here.
Warning: You have to be up to date on phpBB 3.0.2 to use this MOD.

Have a good night ;)

Since the phpBB 3.03 Update there is one thing not available in the functions_admin.php.
Find
Tip:This may be a partial find and not the whole line.

Code:Select All

$log[$i]['action'] = @vsprintf($log[$i]['action'], $log_data_ary);
Add before
Tip:Add these lines on a new blank line before the preceding line(s) to find.

Code:Select All

//-- mod : log connections --------------------------------------------------------
//-- add
$log_data_ary = ($mode == 'connections' && strpos($row['log_operation'], 'SUCCESS_AUTO') !== FALSE) ? '<a href="' . append_sid($phpbb_root_path . $log_data_ary[0]) . '"' . $log_data_ary[0] . '>'. $log_data_ary[0] . '</a>' : $log_data_ary;
//-- end : log connections --------------------------------------------------------
Problem is, I don´t find this anymore since the Update. And now ? :cry:

Hi Wolfseye,

For the moment, this MOD is not up to date for phpBB 3.0.3 so it's not adviced to install it with this version.
I have to control the compatibility of my MOD with phpBB 3.0.3

I keep you inform in this topic ;)
