I have the solution for the utf8-Problem:

Open includes/utf/utf_tools.php
Look for:

Code: Select all

?>
Replace with:

Code: Select all

function utf8_str_word_count($string,$format=0,$charlist='') {
    $array = preg_split("/[^'\-A-Za-z".$charlist."]+/u",$string,-1,PREG_SPLIT_NO_EMPTY);
    switch ($format) {
    case 0:
        return(count($array));
    case 1:
        return($array);
    case 2:
        $pos = 0;
        foreach ($array as $value) {
        $pos = utf8_strpos($string,$value,$pos);
        $posarray[$pos] = $value;
        $pos += utf8_strlen($value);
        }
        return($posarray);
    }
}
?>
Then open the already modded includes/functions.php
Look for:

Code: Select all

$post_text = str_word_count($post_text, 1);
Replace with: (if you want numbers from 0-9 and all utf-8 characters to be included)

Code: Select all

$post_text = utf8_str_word_count($post_text, 1, '0-9\\pL');
or (if you just want all utf-8 characters to be included)

Code: Select all

$post_text = utf8_str_word_count($post_text, 1, '\\pL');
That's it. It works fine for me :mrgreen:

I have installed this MOD on my localhost test installation on my PC and everything works as it should apart from when viewing a topic the keywords/description are not updated based on the first post of the topic. It always uses the information which has been entered into the ACP.

Installed this mod last night with automod without issue. Went into ACP, set up keywords, cleared cache, but I'm still not getting ant tags in the source. I uninstalled and reinstalled, went through the same steps, but still no tags. Any ideas?

Board is:

I am thinking about installing this mod but /\ /\ makes me wonder if it is worth the effort.

To /\ /\:

I have installed a couple other mods and I always do they "by hand" as opposed to using the automod. It is a little harder but then they seem to work. Have you tried installing by hand?

No, I haven't. i was hoping for some input from the person who wrote it, but I guess I'll have to try a manual install.

Either lower your MS-Bullshit-Explorer-Security-Settings, or better forget about the Microsoft-Crap and simply use Firefox...

Hi there,

I've installed this mod into my board. Installation went okay, everything showing up in the ACP as it should, made the relevant changes to the SQL, Templates, functions etc etc.

However, whenever I'm viewing a topic, my meta keywords never change from the default entered ones. I have tried numerous combinations of the radio buttons (Enable dynamic etc) and still, the default keywords and descriptions are showing up. No dynamic tags at all.

I've purged the board cache, cleared my browser cache, everything, but still no dynamic tags.. Any ideas?

Using phpBB 3.0.5

Regards,

Dave
