To update from previous version, are there any core files that need to be changed, or we simply overwrite the old redbar files with the new files?

Sorry, I forgot to mention this on my previous post :P
Overwrite includes/acp/acp_redbar.php with the one from the latest release.
Overwrite adm/style/acp_redbar.html with the one from the latest release.
And follow the bug fix here - http://www.sixstringmods.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=71

OK, thanks... :D

One thing, though... when viewing a link a have created, in the acp, In "Link Colour" field, I see this:

Code: Select all

FFCC68; font-weight: bold">FFCC68
See:
rb.gif
rb.gif (2.59 KiB) Viewed 926 times
Is this normal?

Besides this, everything else works just fine...

Around line 188 of acp_redbar.php should be this:

Code: Select all

        $rbstyle = '<span style="color: #' . $row['redbar_colour'] . '; font-weight: bold;">' . $row['redbar_colour'] . '</span>';
        $redbar_colour = (empty($row['redbar_colour']) ? $user->lang['FORUM_DEFAULT'] : $rbstyle);
acp_redbar.html should have this:

Code: Select all

		<td style="text-align: center;">{redbar.REDBAR_COLOUR}</td>
Can you confirm that's the code you have?

acp_redbar.php is ok, but in the html file I don't have this... I have

Code: Select all

<td style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #{redbar.REDBAR_COLOUR}; font-weight: bold">{redbar.REDBAR_COLOUR}</span></td>
But I don't recall having changed this at all...
Anyways, I should replace it with the one you posted, shouldn't I?

Thanks man..

Hey! MOD is working fine. Still there is an issue. :?: :?:

When I click a link at RedBar (like calendar.php or so) it keeps logging me off and to see the calendar or any other page that requires authentication i'll have to login again.
Wat should i fill in at "Link URL" to make sure i'll stay in the same session and keep logged in?

(at this moment as link url i filled in ../calendar.php and ../ucp.php)

Thanx for the mod anyway ofcourse 8-)

they are changeable

you can decrease or increase the number of links from your ACP

when you go into your ACP you will find a REDBAR tab to right of SYSTEM as soon as your ACP comes up

just click on your REDBAR tab

all your links will be shown there and are editable even deleteable!!!!

this mod is not the easiest mod to install

but it's not the hardest either

GREAT WORK KENNY and heeeey!! top job on the avatar!!!

After installing the Reputation points MOD, I got these errors at the top of the ACP. Later it wouldn't let me access the ACP so I backed up the files and had o re-install a ton of mods. I tried re-installing the Redbar and I got the same errors.

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 150: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/acp/common.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 152: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/acp/common.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 153: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/acp/common.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 154: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /language/en/acp/common.php:1)

With both mods installed, the problem seems to occur in:
root/language/en/acp/common.php

What editor are you using to edit language files? Lang files should be saved in utf8 WITHOUT bom, so you will need to use an editor which can do this, like Notepad++

I use Microsoft word for the php files and notepad for the html files.

What is bom?
