You either missed running the SQL query or have a missing edit to includes/constants.php
Double check that file edit first and make sure it was done properly

Wonderful mod, by the way--adore it, as for a beginner like myself it offers a great way to customize my header without bumbling about too much.

I do have one question: where in the CSS that controls it would I start looking to try and customize it? Or is there someone out there that might have a few beginner guides to fixing up redbar? Anything at all would help.

Thanks so much, and thanks again for the great mod!

When you unzip the zipped file in the folder there will be an .xml file click on it it will open in your browser. The install instructions for prosilver are in there.

I installed redbar3 long ago. But recently i upgrade my phpbb and i messed it up. Don't know what to do now.

First I again try to follow the all process but after that it didn't work and I delete the module from ACP settings. And again try to install. But this time redbar showing on my forum as previous but I can't get the module in ACP. Several times I added module and enable it. But it doesn't shows in ACP :(

So I can't even edit the links there. Please help me on this issue.

Or maybe just sort the box out as there is no box...

That might look better where it is but in a box similar to mine...?

Okay I've read most of this thread but I am still having problems, and am unable to get Redbar Configuration to show up when setting up the module. I have tried using automod, and tried editing all files and sql by hand. This is a new forum and site that I am setting up so I trashed my first go at the forum and started over, again w/ no config option. I tried this on a localhost setup w/ a test forum I had done before and the config did show up. Also I did check the phpbb_acl_options table and didn't find any duplicates. Any ideas of what I can do to get this setup? Current phpbb is version 3.0.4. Thanks

Edit: Nevermind. Did a manual install of phpbb3 instead of the auto install provided by the host. After install of RedBar I was able to get the config to work. Cheers. :D

Hello,

I got mine to work but for some strange reason I have 2 bars above and below. It is like a mirror almost. I have checked the stylesheet and redbar.html but it all looks good. Two on the bottom and two on the top of my forum. The second of the two is thinner, don't know why.

I have the 3.0.5 and subsilver. Any suggestions?

Hey All.

So I've installed this mod on my forum (phpBB 3.05, prosilver_se) but get the following error at the very bottom of the page:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in ...forum/includes/template.php(614) : eval()'d code on line 49

The tab in ACP shows up fine and seems to work correctly. In addition, I get a menubar at the top of the page, but the links don't show up properly. No menubar is shown at the bottom of the page.

Any ideas?

Try reinstalling it, and carefully following all file edits-After add, before add, replace with, etc.. as well as SQL edits.
You might have missed the overall_footer.html for your prosilver theme?

Now on to my issue....i'm using phpBB 3.0.5, prosilver theme, but the bar just doesn't show up--the links work fine, both top and bottom. I redid all the CSS edits, and still the same thing happened.

it looks ok without the colored bar, but i was just wondering where it went..?

EDIT: I think I miss that bar, kinda want to see it appear again...

EDIT2: After refreshing the styles (Theme/imageset/template files) and purged the cache, the bar showed up again!.
