It was mentioned but it wasn't fixed. The post suggested:
Find

Code: Select all
'EXIF_FOCAL' => 'Focus',

Replace with

Code: Select all
'EXIF_FOCAL' => 'Focal Length',
But the ver. 1.0.2 language/en/mods/exif_data.php language file contains this:
'EXIF_FOCAL' => 'Focus length',
instead of the correct:
'EXIF_FOCAL' => 'Focal length',

Ahh. I missed that. Many thanks! :D

the problem is, that you camera doesn't store the time on exif in UTC but in local time.
this can't be fixed, but i will think how we could improve this

Hi folks,

Did anyone notice that the displayed time in "Image taken on" tag is shifted about 8 hours in future? For example, an image has been taken at 14:48 but the NV Exif says it was taken at 10:48 pm? I'm experiencing the same problem both in older NV Exif 1.0.3 and actual 1.2.0.

See for example any of these photos:
http://ricohforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2041

Thank you in advance!

The Problem is, that your camera doesn't save the time in UTC 0. so it is converted doubled...

Thank you for reply! Is there any solution of this problem?

I mean, this issue is not isolated to just Ricoh cameras. I just checked many published photos on my forum taken with several Ricohs, Panasonic LX3, Olympus E400, Nikon D200, some Fujis and Pentaxes and there is just not a single photo, which would display correct "taken time". So with all respect to your analysis, I still believe that there is something wrong with NV Exif? I just cannot believe that all these cameras uses incorrect date-time format? In other words, do you know about camera, which displays correct "taken time" with NV Exif?

my 30€ camera does :-D

I'm not sure, the only way to handle this would be board-wide editing through adding a default offset to the constants.php. If you would like to set the offset for each file, this would be much more and much to difficult I think. :?
