Hi all,

I have followed the instructions to this MOD and I can not get this thing to work at all.

Granted, I am not using the standard theme, but I would assume that i could paste the tags (i.e. {ADS_1}, {ADS_2} etc) in the proper places (above the header, below the header, etc) and the adsense ads should appear.

I tried displaying the ads on a different page and everything worked fine so I know it's not the ads not displaying.

Everything appears to be operational from the "Administration Control Panel" meaning that the settings appear to work and everything is configured properly.

It's just that the ads simply will not show up for some reason. My forum is http://www.planetsteelers.com/phpBB3/index.php

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi
thanks for the mod :)

at first I install it in a local board and it shows as a model and I add it and enables it , but I didn't find it where it should appear to add ads
I checked the permission and found that it is by default set to be " NO " for even founders .... so I make it " YES " and it show in ACP where I set it to be and add a lot of ads and everything is cool

But when I uploaded all files to the live board .... the same happens but even after I set it to " yes " in the permission for founders and moderators .... it didn’t show to add ads .... it shows just in the model sections

so any help

Just one other thing. When the mod is enabled, it kills my xhtml validation at W3C. (12 errors and 3 warnings) - Are there any plans to make future releases W3C compliant? or is it not possible?

Many thanks again,
Mark

There is absolutely nothing in this that can break web standards. It is only what you put in for the HTML ad code that can break it.

My Apologies! - You are totally right. The HTML i added was for HTML 4.1 Transistional - I rewrote the code for XHTML and it works perfectly.

Thank You!

I see this Mod can run banner ads but what about sidebar ads?
Can the width and height be specified? Or is it slave to forum specs?
