It should make no difference which style you use, just remember to "Purge" the cache after you edit the file. :D

ensure your edits are correct...the edits state a "before-add" not an "after-add".

The install says
meta_refresh(3, $redirect);

the actual code in the funcions.php is

$redirect = meta_refresh(3, $redirect);
so should i add it before the whole line or just before meta_refresh?

I just installed it on my forum and it works exactly how it is supposed to work. If you want, post up your includes/functions.php file (please, please, please use the [ code] bbcode tags) and I'll take a look at it for you.

Finally got it to work, thank you for the awesome mod! I'm using it on my DarkFantasy theme BTW.

The biggest problem with making it work (for me at least) was definitely the confusing .XML file that reads:
FIND

Code: Select all

meta_refresh(3, $redirect);
      trigger_error($message . '<br /><br />' . sprintf($l_redirect, '<a href="' . $redirect . '">', '</a>'));
		}
ADD BEFORE

Code: Select all

if ($admin)
      {
      redirect($redirect);
      }
YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE THE

Code: Select all

$redirect =
BEFORE THE

Code: Select all

meta_refresh(3, $redirect);
      trigger_error($message . '<br /><br />' . sprintf($l_redirect, '<a href="' . $redirect . '">', '</a>'));
		}
So the final working result for me was:

Code: Select all

if ($admin)
      {
      redirect($redirect);
      }
$redirect = meta_refresh(3, $redirect);
			trigger_error($message . '<br /><br />' . sprintf($l_redirect, '<a href="' . $redirect . '">', '</a>'));
		}
