@Mike007: If you want it to be full-width, please ask for help in the Styles Support Forum.

@john222: Make sure you uploaded portal.css, included portal.css in stylesheet.css, and also make sure you have refreshed the theme cache of your style.

@KapitolIG: I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand what you mean. Could you show me a screenshot?

Jorac wrote:Hello there! Thanks for a great mod :). Is there any way to "move" the login box from the "right" menu to the "left" menu? I have been looking into some of the files, and thought about changing some ID, so it chooses to be in the left menu :). Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
portal/portal_body.html file holds location of all the blocks. Look for:

Code: Select all

<!-- [+] right block area -->
... and just below that, you'll see:

Code: Select all

		<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_USERMENU -->
			<!-- IF not S_USER_LOGGED_IN -->
				<!-- INCLUDE portal/block/login_box.html -->
			<!-- ENDIF -->

			<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT and S_USER_LOGGED_IN -->
				<!-- INCLUDE portal/block/user_menu.html -->
			<!-- ENDIF -->
		<!-- ENDIF -->
Move the above code where you want it below:

Code: Select all

<!-- [+] left block area -->
	<td valign="top" style="width: {PORTAL_LEFT_COLUMN}px; padding-right:6px;">
		<br style="clear:both" />
You may need to refresh / purge cache after to see results. Please remember to backup any files first!

Hope that helps.

EDIT: marc1706 has posted answer too lol. Yep, Board3 knowledge base has many good guides. :D

Ask whom in style support forum? I dont want my forum to be full width, just the portal page? Is it too much to ask? :?

How can I change Where it says Portal >>Board Index to Home>>Board Index. Basically, I want it to say Home anywhere it would normally say Portal.

You should be able to find that in the language file and change it there.

hi

i'm running board3 v 1.0.3+portalview and phpbb 3.0.4.

There's a bug with board3 whenever i switch on debug mode :

i get all these notices :

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /portal/includes/portalview.php on line 158: Undefined index: portal_topic_calendar
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3777: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3184)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3779: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3184)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3780: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3184)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3781: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3184)

Code: Select all

if ($portal_config['portal_topic_calendar'] )
the index seems to not exist.

here's the code from the file portalview.php line 158 :

Code: Select all

if ($portal_config['portal_topic_calendar'] )
{
	include($phpbb_root_path . 'portal/block/calendar.'.$phpEx);
}

$template->assign_vars(array(
	'PORTAL_LEFT_COLUMN' 	=> $portal_config['portal_left_column_width'],
	'PORTAL_RIGHT_COLUMN' 	=> $portal_config['portal_right_column_width'],
));

Erm... the mod portalview is not officially part of the portal.

Anyway - search:

Code: Select all

if ($portal_config['portal_topic_calendar'] )
{
   include($phpbb_root_path . 'portal/block/calendar.'.$phpEx);
}
replace with:

Code: Select all

if ($portal_config['portal_minicalendar'])
{
    include($phpbb_root_path . 'portal/block/mini_cal.'.$phpEx);
}

well i've commented that section now because it gave me another error :

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /portal/block/mini_cal.php on line 24: Constant IN_MINI_CAL already defined
thanks for the help.

You are using the phpbb3Portal, not ours. Please refer to there support forums.
Anyway, if you are using B3P somewhere, here is our knowledgebase, where these kinds of questions are already answered: http://www.board3.de/knowledge/
