Unfortunately these code typos I referenced here are still in v1.0.3
VSE wrote:CODE TYPOS DISCOVERED in v1.0.2:

I found some minor bugs that are not XHTML compliant in the PORTAL BLOCKS for the ProSilver Theme

The errors look like:

Code: Select all

<img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/portal/portal_attach.gif" width="13px" height="18px" alt=""/>
Using "px" in the image width and height is not allowed AND there is no space at the end of the tag before "/>"

Corrected code looks like:

Code: Select all

<img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/portal/portal_attach.gif" width="13" height="18" alt="" />
This is one example, but I found errors with this type of image tag in the following blocks (styles/prosilver/templates/portal/block/):

user_menu.html
attachments.html
birthday_list.html
change_style.html
clock.html
custom_small.html
donation_small.html
latest_bots.html
latest_members.html
leaders_ext.html
leaders.html
link_us.html
links.html
login_box.html
main_menu.html
mini_calendar.html

@VSE:
This document was successfully checked as XHTML 1.0 Strict!
So the portal is actually XHTML compliant. ;)
But thank you for the info, we'll check it.

@carb:
Best check on www.board3.de the knowledge base and the styles forums.

I'm sorry, but I really don't get where you see any errors:

2 things...l updated my PHPBB to 3.0.4 today and then installed the portal for the first time. After I installed the portal, the ACP says that the board is back at 3.0.2.
What happened and what do I do?

Also... in my ACP I see no portal links in the left column. YES, I refreshed and purged everything.

The W3 validator lets it slip through because the omission of the space before closing the image tag is a "warning" not an error, and the use of "px" in an image tag's width/height is allowed but may not be compatible with some browsers.

Checking the XHTML Syntax of the same page you posted here in BBEdit gives the following - 88 errors and 26 warnings. It's just me being anal. See screenshot attached

What software are you using to check this? It looks like a part of Safari.

I've been using this mod from it's beginning and never had a problem updating. This time however, there is a slight hitch.
Although the portal works OK and the graphics have changed, it still says version 102 in the ACP. I did have a bit of trouble when running the install folder (it told me files already existed) but I deleted it anyway as time was running out.
Unfortunately I neglected to back up the original files before changing them. All is still working OK though.

The top line in the xml update package replaces a line of code with a blank line. Was I correct to simply delete this line of code?

The new Version is only displayed if the update finished without any errors. Maybe try running the update installer again. Also make sure you refreshed your board cache.

that is BBEdit, the leading professional HTML and text editor for the Macintosh.

By the way, any word on when v1.0.3 will be validated by the PHPBB Mod Team?

It's in the validation queue. The rest is up to the validation team. But i guess they'd say: it's done when it's done. ;)

I'm sorry but I didn't have a lot of time in the last few days as I got ready to release the next version of my MOD. I will get to you tomorrow.

Tried three times with the same result. When I click the install folder it sends me to the portal acp. When I click the update tab it gives me a list of files marked in red as already existing.

At the moment it's not a problem as all is working OK but I'm thinking of future updates.
