Yes, look at the history, you don't need any sql, just follow the DIY instructions

I've tried upgrading from 1.0.4 to 1.0.8, seemed to work fine but i noticed later that my hidden forums showed in the feed. Double checked my edits en looked at the feed in 4 different browsers while i was logged out, but still the hidden forums showed in the feed.

Hello,

I've just done the installation on the forum at http://garching-wh.de. It worked out after I have copied the english language file to the german directory.
But all RSS feeds have no text (body resp. content) in it?
What has gone wrong there?

Thanks,

Florian

Adjust the 'Max length of post text to display" in your ACP.

I installed the files with no problems. Ran the instructions through to configuring the RSS function in the general tasks menu in the ACP, set up a feed, hit submit, and was told:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Duplicate entry 'rss_enable' for key 1 [1062]

SQL

INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_enable', 1, 0)

FILE: includes/functions_module.php

Can anyone help please***

Did you perform the SQL queries in PhpMyAdmin ?

Code: Select all

INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_enable', '1', 0);
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_overall_forums', '1', 0);
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_overall_threads', '1', 0);
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_overall_posts', '1', 0);
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_egosearch', '1', 0);
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_forum', '1', 0);
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_thread', '1', 0);
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_characters', '1000', 0);
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('rss_limit', '30', 0);

Ok, that works. I had set ip to 0, thinking this means infinite. Doesn't seem so.

@weedgur79
Try to set all feeds to No and enable only the main swith (enable feeds). Then enable the different feeds.

Wow, the mod team needs more than almost 2 months to approve a new (revision) version?

Is the upgrade vom 1.0.7 to 1.0.9 a lot of effort?
