That would be very useful to have. im interested.

Is there something I missed?
I just found that it is working right HOWEVER.....if they go an edit that 2nd post, they are then able to post again right away without having to edit

I wanted to use this in my forum because I have one person there who constantly posts reply after reply to his own thread and I need to stop that....suggestions?

++++

Edit:

I just found that this mod works ok as long as you click reply

However if you post using Advanced Quick Reply ver 1.0.0 it goes and posts without any alert at all

Do not use the setting "Display Warning Banner" but set it to "Enforce Edit"!

If you point me to that mod I'll try to adapt it.

Hey I think, I may have gotten lucky last night, see if this doesn't do the trick

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]---------------------
#
includes/quickreply.php
#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------
#
		add_form_key('posting');
#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]---------------
#
//-- add mod : bump warning v.1.0.0 [MartectX] ---------------------------------
		include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_bump_warning.' . $phpEx);
//-- end add : bump warning v.1.0.0 [MartectX] ---------------------------------
#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------
#
		// Assign template variables
		$template->assign_vars(array(
#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]---------------
#
//-- add mod : bump warning v.1.0.0 [MartectX] ---------------------------------
			'BUMP_WARNING' => $bump_warning,
//-- end add : bump warning v.1.0.0 [MartectX] ---------------------------------
If it didn't/doesn't I guess we will have to wait on MartectX. :mrgreen:

Unfortunately I have just removed all files as I need a mod now

I am going to try Anti_double_post_v2.0.2 which seems to have more features that I need

However if that is not quite what I want, I will again install yours on my other test board and advise what happens

I appreciate your replies

I tried this with Advanced Quick Reply 1.0.0 but it doesn't work... :(

Maybe MartectX could have a look on it.

I had that exact problem with the Advanced Quick Reply so I instead installed Anti-Double-Post and it works exactly like I needed

You seem to have forgotten to do the SQL part of the installation instructions!

For help on this try the following topic: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 0&t=588697

Hi all,

New here and have downloaded some mods and some are not working. This Bump warning mod is one of them.

Will this work on other styles? I am currently running on the Black Pearl Mod and I have tried every setting possible and I cannot get anything to work the way it should. I have made all the necessary page changes to this style only instead of the prosilver.

Thanks much in advance for your help

It works on other styles, you'll just have to do the installation instructions for either proSilver or subSilver2 - depending what your style is based on.

I have to apologize, after looking at what I posted, I meant I was running the Black Pearl style not mod.

Also I didn't realize this before posting but I am running vers 3.04 :( and this is setup for 3.02

Sorry for the trouble.

phpBB3.0.4
AeroBlue
http://www.ozarkcountyforums.com
I've installed Bump Warning, but now I can no longer create a new forum.
I even attempted to query phpMyAdmin, in case I had not do that, but apparently I'd already done so.

Code: Select all

SQL query:

INSERT INTO phpbb_config( config_name, config_value, is_dynamic )
VALUES (
'bump_warning', '0', '0'
);

MySQL said: Documentation
#1062 - Duplicate entry 'bump_warning' for key 1

Here is the original error in not being able to create a new forum.
Error page message

Code: Select all

Does anyone see where I messed it up?
Also, if I must uninstall this, how can I change MySQL to remove these alterations.

Thank you.
