Modification name: Topic Text in Mouse Over

Modification description: Mod allows a user to view a snippet of the first post and last post in tooltips within a forum using css and javascript.

Settings for how many to characters to display and which to display (first post, last post, both posts) is configurable in the ACP. The mod also allows your users to set the mod active or not for personal preference in their user control panel under "board preferences->display options".

Tooltips will show on index.php, viewforum.php and search.php.

This mod will overtake the "title" attribute within an html <a tag throughout the forum.

Follows the auths of the forum so users can not see text from topics they can not read.

Works with 3.0.4 - 3.0.7-PL1

great, is possible add this features:

• From ACP on/off for guests
• Allow/disallow change settings in UCP
• UCP options (if enabled): on/off and first/last post (more interesting)
• add this mod to search pages (more interesting)

Great mod, I'm about to go ahead and install it but first-- Is this XHTML 1.0 Strict?

EDIT: Nevermind, for anyone who was wondering... this mod is considered XHTML 1.0 Strict. I installed it and checked. Great mod, thanks Richard McGirr.

Will there be any options for using Subsilver and not Subsilver2 templates?

If not, can someone please let me know which tpl file I should alter and what code would work best?

I just realized that the I was looking at my old file from 2.0 that I left on my server .....

Works great in prosilver based styles, but I get this error with subsilver2:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ELSE in /var/www/includes/template.php(175) : eval()'d code on line 60

That's if I click on a forum right after purging the cache. If I refresh the page, or go back and click on it again, before purging the cache again, I get:

I followed the instructions in install_mod.xml first for prosilver, and then contrib/subsilver2.xml. Any ideas?
