@ordiego: At the moment it doesn't work like you descripe, I will take a look at it in the coming week. :)

@rapid2008: Some of your edits can be wrong, please check that, it should be working if you run every edit and the SQL correctly.

I use a different style (Royal Blue from Aeon Kings). I just couldn't get this to work with the two template files.

That's a shame, this would have made a nice addition to my forum. Not your fault, though. :)

Can you give me a link to your board, so I can see on what style your template is based?

This is a neat idea but I decided not to install it after seeing that it's not style-dependent.

Well, it is. If you don't do the template edits on a certain style the MOD will not work on that style.

Okay, try this. :)

Open: includes/functions_display.php
Find:

Code: Select all

$new_posts_link = ($forum_unread) ? 'style="color: #' . $config['new_post_colour']. ';"' : '';
Replace with:

Code: Select all

$new_posts_link = 'style="color: #' . $config['new_post_colour']. ';"';

Well, when this MOD was in development I fixed this issue earlier. With the following fix. Can you check if you already have this code and if not, edit it. :)

Open: includes/functions_display.php
Find:

Code: Select all

$s_subforums_list[] = '<a href="' . $subforum['link'] . '" class="subforum ' . (($subforum['unread']) ? 'unread' : 'read') . '" title="' . (($subforum['unread']) ? $user->lang['NEW_POSTS'] : $user->lang['NO_NEW_POSTS']) . '">' . $subforum['name'] . '</a>';
Replace with:

Code: Select all

$s_subforums_list[] = '<a href="' . $subforum['link'] . '" class="subforum ' . (($subforum['unread']) ? 'unread' : 'read')  . (($subforum['unread']) ? '" style="color: #' . $config['new_post_colour'] . ''  : '') . '"' . ' title="' . (($subforum['unread']) ? $user->lang['NEW_POSTS'] : $user->lang['NO_NEW_POSTS']) . '">' . $subforum['name'] . '</a>';
