Your includes/functions_posting.php edit is incorrect, uninstall it and make that edit again.

OK tested it, uploaded the amended file that's attached above and the same thing happens ..

Standard user can make the new topic, gets the message saying its subject to Mod approval yet it still shows up like normal and no sign of it in the mod queue ...

The functions_posting.php edit is probably still incorrect but I cant see where I have gone wrong

functions_posting.php edit is correct.
If you still have problems, try installing with AutoMOD.

Hi mtrs,

Automod all installed! :)

Now, I read that to make this work the files need to go into the store/mod folder ... but which files!? ... I have the function_posting and posting files already modded and in place. I was wondering what to put in the store/mods folder so that I can see it on the automods section of the ACP ... ? I tried just the install_ntna.php file in there but that didn't show up in the automods

Excuse my ignorance, using this is very new for me!

The permission is forum based, so, setting for one forum means applicable to that group. Make sure you set the forum permission for the relevant group, and test at that forum.

Re: New topics need approval

Hi, thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I have done the following settings

ACP - Permissions - Groups forum permissions - registered users - select a forum - For Sale forum - Mics tab - Can start new topics without approval - Never

and

ACP - Permissions - Groups forum permissions - registered users - select a forum - For Sale forum - Mics tab - Can post without approval - Yes (this is for replies .. ?)

lastly

ACP - Permissions - Groups forum permissions - registered users - select a forum - For Sale forum - Post tab - 'Can start new topics' - Yes (or the new topic button disappears on the forum)

I must be missing something
