Modification name: Default Topic Icon

Modification description: Mod will work in ALL versions of PhPBB3

Inspired by and designed for the members of the newsucks500.com message board, this MOD removes the "NONE" option for topic icons and makes the LAST icon the default icon.

You can adjust which icon is the default one in the ACP under The "POSTING" tab, then "TOPIC ICONS" category. The icon on the bottom will be the default icon, simply reposition the icon of your choice to the bottom to make it the default icon used on your board.

In your ACP, under the posting tab, click TOPIC ICONS

The icon at the bottom of the screen will be the default one.

To change which one is the default, simply use the up/down arrows to reposition the one you want as default to the bottom.

You'll now see the icon on the posting form, automatically set for the default icon you selected in the ACP

Now, whenever a post is made, you will have the default icon display if no icon is selected

TY, took me a while to get that right. I wanted the topic icons to be able to do the same as vBulletin

If anyone is looking for a smilie pack for topic icons I have the ones I use available for download here:

There just old icons from a combination of an old phpbb2 mod & an old UBB forum, but have some decent symbols, like

EXAMPLE:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b149/ ... layout.jpg a couple are even animated.
I say they really look best with a SubSilver2 type layout, not a prosilver, but prosilver if the theme is dark..

Otherwise, there are tons of resources on the net to create your own topic icon theme.

Boy, your pretty new to MODDING aren't you?

You don't need to open modx.prosilver.en.xsl that's just the style instructions for the MODS install.xml file and comes with EVERY MOD you download. Also, what you are probably more then likely doing is opening this with NOTEPAD, which is incorrect, you need to use a code editor like Notepad++ or Crimson editor to read that particular file, thus the reason you see all that gibberish... also, that is NOT the MOD install file, you want to open install.xml, open it with your web browser.
