For example, my forum is located at http://operation420.net/forum and I want the recent tpics list to appear on http://operation420.net
Have you tried to look in the contrib folder ?
Is it in there? What's the contrib folder?

I only know where to find the main edits and style edits.

EDIT:
I cannot open NV_recent_topics_1_0_5\contrib\Addons\add_any_page\modx.prosilver.en.xsl in Firefox, Opera, or Internet explorer. It says the page doesn't have any style information associated with it.

So you open the XML with the XSL in the same directory? That makes sense because when I copy the XML out and not the XSL it appears funny.

This makes no sense. I did all the edits, what code do I put on my main page where I want the topics list to appear.

I don't know if this has been asked before.

Is it possible to show (x) characters underneath the topic title from the last post in that topic?

I still need help making the topics appear on my site's main page.

Have you refreshed your cache in the ACP??

This will need to be done if all edits have been completed succesfully.

I did, but I don't even have the code on the main page, I don't know what code to put there.

Have you been following the instructions from the install.xml file?

Have you copied all the files that are contained within the root dir to your root path of your phpBB dir on the server where your phpBB board is hosted?

Have you followed the instructions for this file:
Open: styles/prosilver/template/index_body.html
Find: <!-- IF S_DISPLAY_SEARCH or (S_USER_LOGGED_IN and not S_IS_BOT) -->
Add Before: <!-- IF RECENT_TOPICS_DISPLAY --><!-- INCLUDE recent_topics_body.html --><!-- ENDIF -->

This will then display it on the index page of the forum.

I have it on the index of my forum, but I also want it on the index of my site.

My forum is http://operation420.net/forum/, I want it to appear on http://operation420.net

I did and on my index page where it's supposed to appear it says

Code: Select all

if ($config['rt_index']) { if (!function_exists('display_recent_topics')) { include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_recenttopics.' . $phpEx); } display_recent_topics($config['rt_number'],
