I got it working... a really bad mistake on my part. I was putting hte image link in the topic icon textbox instead of the forum background. :lol:

Thanks again, and great mod!

Can I use this mod for category background image, for example my forum is set up in 4 categories, and the categories have 5-6 or more forums, if I set the category background it will show one background picture on all the forums that belong to the category.

I am sorry, it is useless to set the category background.

You can partition one big picture become 5-6 or more piece of small picture,
then depend on order set up become forum background in one category.

Thats a good tip. Thanks.
The only problem is this will make a lot of bandwidth and the site will load slower.

Another mode is more easy:
The 5-6 or more forums use same forum background in one category. ;)

You don't add column 'forum_bg' in 'phpbb__forums' table.

It would be very kind of you if you could help me with your mod on subsilver2)
Here is the screenshot
Image
You can see that the image is only for the part of the background.
And also there are some changes in install.xml for the prosilver style. But no changes for the subsilver.
I use AutoMod. What should I change in install.xml to install this mod on the subsilver style? I've already make it for my language, but it's very difficult for me.
Kindest regards! ;)

Refer the file below in mod package.

I've just reinstalled mod, but the problem still exists.
I checked automod - it correctly makes changes into the subsilver files...

This status is normal for subsilver2 style.
What do you want to change?

I'm thinking about making it like in prosilver: to make background image on the whole line, not only on the part of it.

Try it:
--OPEN--
styles/subsilver2/template/forumlist_body.html

--FIND--

Code: Select all

	<!-- ELSEIF forumrow.S_IS_LINK -->
		<tr>
			<td class="row1" width="50" align="center">{forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG}</td>
			<td class="row1" style="background-image: url({forumrow.FORUM_BG}); background-repeat: repeat;">
--REPLACE WITH--

Code: Select all

	<!-- ELSEIF forumrow.S_IS_LINK -->
		<tr style="background-image: url({forumrow.FORUM_BG}); background-repeat: repeat;">
			<td class="row1" width="50" align="center">{forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG}</td>
			<td class="row1">
--FIND--

Code: Select all

		<!-- ENDIF -->
		<tr>
			<td class="row1" width="50" align="center">{forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG}</td>
			<td class="row1" width="100%" style="background-image: url({forumrow.FORUM_BG}); background-repeat: repeat;">
--REPLACE WITH--

Code: Select all

		<!-- ENDIF -->
		<tr style="background-image: url({forumrow.FORUM_BG}); background-repeat: repeat;">
			<td class="row1" width="50" align="center">{forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG}</td>
			<td class="row1" width="100%">
--SAVE & CLOSE--

P.S.
1. Purge the cache.
2. I will update the mod after the phpBB 3.0.6 released. Thanks for your problem. :)
