Hi

One question please, I initially installed a shoutbox but was cautioned by my service provider because my forum was showing very high cpu usage and they suggested I changed over to a private server at a massive cost. I looked to solve the problem with high usage and found it was caused by the refreshing of the shoutbox.

My question is - Will mchat do the same thing as the shoutbox? I hope this makes sense.

perhaps you could edit the mchat.php to change the refresh rate? good point tho.

i have installed this today and after a lot of hassle editting in dreamweaver i tried notepad which saved my files correctly, god knows why??

good mod tho thankyou!! is there a way to remove it from the forum header so it has its own page only? like when you click on the chat link in the nav bar?

Idea for Add on, i'm using this as a stand alone chatroom, would be nice if you could add some sort of feature which showed who was in the chatroom at bottom of page.

I've installed your mChat mod but i have troubles with links

I posted the link as
and it changed to

Code: Select all

http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=69& amp;t=1659365
and it appeared as you see it in the chat. I've only made cosmetic changes in the templating to suit my needs, not any javascript or php. The links part of posting does not work very well at all.

How can I fix this?

The bbcodes fold out, but when pressed my page spits out errors:

line: 395
char: 23

Invalid argument

there are some problems with the new firefox 3.5 with typing messages ...

furthermore:
I would loved to have a chat statitic right next to : "Total topics xxx Total - Chat messages yyy" on the index page...
and it would be great to see how many chat message anyone post in the user profile AND optionally in the postprofile ... of course this numbers have to survive when I clear the archive ... is that possible?
