Got it working with Exreaction’s HTML mod and a little extra code into page.php
You can see it working with a sample piece of HTML that I tried out.
Check it here: HTML sample page
But I don't think using php language is advisable.

Hope that helps

Hi :)

I'm using a table in static pages and every space between
, ,
etc. follow a <br /> in the HTML-Code, so it is displayed a "return" over the table for each <br />
So I have to delete all spaces inbetween which makes the table really confusing.
An example:
No forced <br />:

Code: Select all

test

Forces <br />:

Code: Select all

test

same here:

Code: Select all

test

How can i avoid these forced <br />?

That's a "feature" of the table BBCodes you are using. This occurs using them in forum posts as well.

I assume you mean that the coding for the table is confusing without the line breaks, not the table itself.

Not sure there is anything you can do about it, although, there are a number of different table BBcodes, not sure if they all have the additional line feature, but maybe there are some that are better suited to your needs.

You go to ACP > .MODS > Manage Static Pages, click on the Add Page button, then fill in the blanks.

Check that you ran the required SQL queries, made all the correct file edits, purged the cache, and followed the DIY instructions in the install.xml file and it should work.

@JobKnockey

In ACP > SYSTEM > MODULE MANAGEMENT > Admin Control Panel > .MODS do you see Pages listed, and if so, in Pages do you see the module Manage Pages? If not you need to add that module to the Pages category.

it's pretty sophisticated actually

the option offering pages to be visible to guests? Y or N

I never thought I would use that, as I considered all static pages I created, would naturally be open to all

however, as months have gone by - several times I have now used the option to create pages for "members only"

GREAT OPTION!!! 8-)

Is there a way to:
  • 1. use this to create a front page
    2. insert php into the pages?
Also, how do you work out what to use to link to one of these pages?

  1. Not really what the MOD is intended for but you could probably do it.
  2. Can't be done through Manage Pages function. You would need to download the created YourPageName.php file, add the php code, and upload it.
The different types of URLs for created pages have been covered a few times already in this topic.
