It means you can access the page as http://yourboard.com/page-name instead of http://yourboard.com/page.php?p=page-name

That means that the database table already exists. If you haven't installed the MOD properly yet, delete the table and re-install it.

I was wondering how I could rewrite it so that instead of people going to http://www.yousite.com/page.php?=rules or whatever to needing just to go to http://www.yousite.com/rules to view the page because I really don't like the page.php thing :P

Hello, first thank you for this mod. It appears great although I had a problem at installation.

It was an easy install but I think I messed up at the end. After I concluded, I went to my ACP and started to play with adding the module to the general category to see if a tab would show up as part of the general menu on top. Not sure what I did but now I get a "General error" when I do:

system > administration control panel

If I click on "administration control panel" link to the left, under the tab "system" I get:

-----------------------------
General Error
Module not accessible
Please notify the board administrator or webmaster: author@pandemictechnology.com
-----------------------------

I think I tried to add the module "Manage Pages" to the general category and that messed it up as it was already added to .MOD.

I can access phpmyadmin and I can see my last 3 actions in the table "phpbb_modules", where there is one "ACP_PAGES" and two "ACP_MANAGE_PAGES" added in module_langname, but I am afraid to tinker with this.

Could anyone please offer some advice? Is there a way to undo my last 2 or 3 actions?

Thank you for everybody's help.

If you'd read the DIY instructions at the bottom of the MODX installation file, you would see exactly what you just described ;)

Hi,

I translated this mod.

Here the French content for XML file (It must be encoded in UTF8 without BOM). :)

Code: Select all

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^([A-Za-z0-9\-\+]+)$ ./page.php?p=$1 [L]

Vos pages seront alors accessibles comme votreforum.com/nompage
</diy-instructions>

Code: Select all

Pages statiques

[The extension zip has been deactivated and can no longer be displayed.]

See you soon,
