The Beta version had the sql entries in the includes/functions file, IIRC which were run when you visited contact.php. I'm lazy and UMIL is easier. ;)

The installer with the mod should update the database with no problem.

Ok went to update. install option is greyed out.. so only option is to update.

Get the following

Code: Select all

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Column 'contact_founder_only' cannot be null [1048]

SQL

INSERT INTO phpbb_contact_config (contact_confirm, contact_confirm_guests, contact_max_attempts, contact_method, contact_bot_user, contact_bot_forum, contact_reasons, contact_founder_only, contact_bbcodes_allowed, contact_smilies_allowed, contact_bot_poster, contact_attach_allowed) VALUES ('0', '1', '0', '0', '1', '37', 'Competition\nUnable to register\nUnable to login\nFeedback\nAdvertise Request\nLink Request\nOther', NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, 0)

BACKTRACE

FILE: includes/db/mysql.php
LINE: 174
CALL: dbal->sql_error()

FILE: contact_install.php
LINE: 184
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_query()

FILE: umil/umil.php

FILE: umil/umil_auto.php

Looking at it..

My edits to files and uploads all seem ok. getting the contact option in the control panel on .mods tab

wont save settings that i submit though and as far as .mod read out is concerned its still ver 0.4.1 but then that info is perhaps pulled from the Database so how can i update the database?

Thanks for all the support also :)

Run the installer again and choose "uninstall" then run it one more time and choose "install".

I'll have to look at that one of these days.

Hang on a second....which version are you trying to install? This topic is for the 3.0.5 version and it looks like you are trying to run the 3.0.6 version.

zake black: I also had to uninstall and install. It worked out fine. The errors received indicate that the tables/entries already exist. That is ok.
