You'll need to get the latest version, 1.0.2, which supports 3.0.6:

when a post is captured using the spam words filter and the post is marked so that it requires moderator approval, could the user be given a sensible message like 'Your post has been placed in a moderation queue'? at the moment it just says its been posted successfully.

The last thing i want is duplicate spam posts

oops, forgot to say thanks for the mod

Are you testing the require moderator approval bit yourself or as someone with m_approve permission?

How do you want to duplicate them?

sorry, maybe i should provide more detail

1. I setup a spam word

2. I login using a user that has less posts than the spam words post threshold

3. i make a post containing a spam word

4. I receive a message saying "post successful"

5. The post goes into the moderator queue

I am happy that the above works as expected. :D

My question was, is there a way to make the message in section 4, something along the lines of "thanks for the post, it has gone into a queue to be moderated". I think this would be useful to give the user an indication of where the message has gone.

It should tell you that the post requires approval. Is this on an upgrade from a previous version of phpBB?

The upgrade from 3.0.5 was probably incomplete.

How should I go about confirming my phpbb was correctly updated? Everything else seems to be working fine.

by that response it sounds like you are used to silly questions. I just thought you could have guessed at the area to start looking, specifically for the posting success message. I will starting with posting.php and see where that takes me.
