ReIMG Image Resizer

Features:
 • Images are resized (downscaled) client-side using javascript.
 • Images don't first load in large format and then collapse, but instead appear only after they have been resized already.
 • An optional zoom button is overlayed on top of resized images, so you can click to the original-sized image. This button will not mess up a URL the poster might have placed around the image. :)
 • The original-sized image can open in the current window, in a new window, or in a cool lightbox or highslide. 8-)
 • Only user-posted images posted using Img BBCode or uploaded as attachment are resized. However, any other image can be resized (and/or equipped with a zoom button ;)) by adding onload and onerror events to the XHTML tag.
 • You can specify the maximum dimensions in pixels (e.g. 640x480) and/or a maximum relative width (e.g. 80%).
 • All settings (maximum dimensions, zooming method) can be changed from the Administration Control Panel.
 • This MOD comes with default, neutral style sheeting built in, so you don't need to alter all your theme files. However, you can override these defaults from within your theme files, and thus unleash your own style sheeting magic on the resized images.
 • Quick loading, compressed/stripped javascript files as well as full javascript source code files are included.
 • I've successfully tested this MOD in Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3, Firefox 2, Firefox 1.5, Firefox 1.0, Opera 9.5, Opera 9.27, Safari 3.1 and Mozilla 1.7.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank TaleTN for coming up with this idea in the first place and allowing me to complete his work. Kudos to him for the ReIMG javascript.

@WastedJoker

What I see in your test is that the image gets smaller when I click the zoom icon(FF3.5)

Moreover, unlike the claim, the image DOES load in large form first & then gets resized!!!

I'm using FF3.5 also - the image is resized correctly and when yuo click on the Zoom icon in opens the image smaller but when you click the + icon it becomes larger.

WastedJoker wrote:I got it working on my board but you made a mistake in the install.xml file:

Where it says:

Code: Select all

 <open src="styles/prosilver/imageset/imageset.cfg">
 <edit>
 <find>img_icon_user_warn =</find>
 <action type="after-add">
img_icon_reimg_zoom_in = icon_reimg_zoom_in.gif*20*20
img_icon_reimg_zoom_out = icon_reimg_zoom_out.gif*20*20</action>
 </edit>
 </open>
It should say:

Code: Select all

 <open src="styles/prosilver/imageset/imageset.cfg">
 <edit>
 <find>img_icon_user_warn = icon_user_warn.gif*20*20</find>
 <action type="after-add">
img_icon_reimg_zoom_in = icon_reimg_zoom_in.gif*20*20
img_icon_reimg_zoom_out = icon_reimg_zoom_out.gif*20*20</action>
 </edit>
 </open>
Sorry to burst your bubble but...there is no mistake in the find. Look at it and think about it. Finding this:
img_icon_user_warn =
is the same as finding this:
img_icon_user_warn = icon_user_warn.gif*20*20

Partial finds are common in MODs.

As for your second problem about attachment.html...well that's not really a problem with the MOD and no changes need to be done to it. That is a problem with AutoMOD. Please either report it in the AutoMOD forum or in the AutoMOD bug tracker.

ok, i can't for the life of me download this mod from this site. i did however download it from DavidIQ's site with no problem..... but seems to be a different file size :roll:

anyway, i'm on dial-up(i know, it's suck to be me :lol: ) and only have the problem with this file on this site. it only gets to 94.14% then errors out. i've tried FF, IE6 and 7, and also have tried IDM(Internet Download Manager) and all are the same.
