just curious... is it possible to add a show/hide feature for mature view...

for example... if image is highly explicit or even disgusting... so it will hide for all kids unless surfer accepts the responsible as adult or take risks...

sorta like google image...

Hey, i wanted to first of all say, i really love this mod. I've been using it for a long time now on a previous board, and everyone loves it. I couldn't ask for a better Gallery.

Recently, i made new forums, where i decided to install this gallery again, but have run into an error.

Whenever i go to the gallery, i am no longer logged into the forums. When i attempt to log in through the gallery page, it says i have successfully been logged in, but then redirects me to a 404 error page:

"404 Not Found
The requested URL /index.php?sid=1c9277e51a2955bc3485fb9d5ff9e1d8 does not exist. "

And the address bar shows that it has redirected me to my main folder instead of anywhere on the forums:
"http://mgo2.com/index.php?sid=1c9277e51 ... 9d5ff9e1d8"

I double checked all of the file edits, and didn't notice anything wrong. Can anyone point me in the right direction to wither how to solve this problem, or at least which files i should be looking at to edit to fix it. Thank you very much!

Okay i actually found out that the logging out was a cookies issue, but i still have issues with the redirect after login. Any ideas?

Did you check whether the domain settings are correct?
Else it might be a problem with a SEO-MOD if you have one installed

Where would i check to see if the domain settings are correct? In the Server Settings of the ACP?

That might be the problem, considering i'm running the site under an add-on domain. It's located at:

/public_html/mgo2/forums/

and the add-on domain is; www.mgo2.com (which leads to the mgo2 folder)

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it or not, thank you very much for any help.

Hi Nick!
Thanks for a great mod! I use it on my site which you can watch here: http://skim.se/gallery/index.php

I would like to be able to display latest albums on the index page, is that possible?
So when a user creates a new personal album it shows up on the index page. =)

Thanks in advance!

I wanted to update the gallery. From version 1.0.3 to 1.0.4.

When dropped into the folder / install, clicked on the menu "Update" and step "to update the database", I left a mistake.

Code: Select all

I have installed the gallery on my site and it was easy to install using the automod...I did have to make a couple of file changes to get it to work in my style, X-Static (by Skin-Lab, based on subsilver2). Anyway, it is up and running great but I have two questions...first of all my PNG graphics ( I have a PSP site where we share Paint Shop Pro images) show up in the thumbnail and the page view, the page with the comments, etc with a black background. The actual images which I get when clicking on the page view does not have the black background. Is there anyway I can modify the program so that my PNG thumbnails and all show without the black background. Second, when I use the album BBC the thumbnail shows in the post. I want the full image without the black background to show in the post...and the IMG BBC I would like to change it so that it does not link back to the album image...

nickvergessen wrote:One folder to simplify the move of images.
A completely flat directory structure for full- , medium- , and thumbnail-sized
images will eventually become a problem for very large galleries.

Have you considered a directory structure with sub-dirs whose names are
the album ids ("1", "2", etc) of each photo album?

A simple name change for an album would not require any action at the
file-system level.... But yes, moving an image to a new album would
require both a database change (change the album id of the image) and
a file-system change (moving three files to the appropriate sub-dir).
Both actions would have to be successful.

An album-based directory structure would also be of help for creating
targetted off-line backups of specific albums.

Is this under consideration for future development Nick?

Cheers,

I tried that but couldn't find a way and after some hours of testing I gave up.

You can easily edit the bbcode in ACP > Posts > BBCodes > [album] ;) just remove the mode= parameter and the wrapping <a>

There is a ticket about it in the tracker, so we will see.

Hi, first of all, GREAT MOD! Thank you kindly :D
I am however having one or two problems, first is the import feature in the admin CP, it brings up this error;

Code: Select all

The specified import-schema (*long digit code here*.php) could not be found.
Any ideas what this might be?

Also when viewing my own personal gallery (not through the UCP), for some reason it doesnt show an upload image link etc - when on a prosilver templet I also installed it on another forum does

ANy help? Much appreciated :)

Having some issues with phpBB Gallery 1.0.4. I am running phpBB 3.0.6. Just installed it on my site and I have set the permissions to allow guests to view photo albums but whenever guests try to view, they get a General Error. I have gone in and tweaked everything I know how and still this error comes up for guests. Any idea for a fix?

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]
