Re: phpBB Gallery

Sir,

I am now using 1.0.4 and shadow-box plugin version 3.0rc1. I have only 15 images in my board. When I open and view the images, the pulgin counts 32 images and they are all doubled in the plugin.

Where to adjust the plugin to resume correct counting ?

Thank you .

Please read the last view pages, that was asked several times and the "problem" is plugin independent.

Hi everybody.

I've installed the phpbb gallery 1.0.3. However, there's a small problem with my overral_footer.html.

http://www.boxdownload.uni.cc

Then, you can see that there's a small wrong configuration in the overral_footer by the phpbb gallery mod.

I don't want to remove nothing, i just want to put their publicity only in the mod page ( /gallery/index.php ), or at least fix my index.php bottom to put into the standard overral_footer of my template.

Just to remember, there's a small table of publicity, But the error was there before i'd edit my overral_footer.html

Sorry about my English. ;x

Thanks.

Edit:

- Solved, the problem was from the host. Delete this topic.
Thank you.

i wonder do you have upload zip or rar on the gallery feature that can unzip and put into XXX catergory or into a new category automatically... but it have to be waiting for approval by me or other mod... before it can enter gallery php database...

i know someone created mod for phpbb2 smarter gallery... pretty cool and useful...

i hope you get it... its hard to explain...

btw. i dont play with php gallery yet... just wait for right time... ;p i also wonder... can i give permission to register or another group to create and or manage album category list?

I'm trying to embed a photo in a post that I uploaded to the gallery. I've tried both of these:

[album]4[/album]
and the img tags with the url copied from the gallery screen

I've checked the album bbcode and it is OK.

When I try to embed the photo, I get a message saying it can't determine the image size! If I use the same image, and just upload it and use that URL it works.

What am I going wrong?

Ok, now I'm completely confused here. I checked all the settings, and no good. So I reinitialized the phpbb gallery tables (made them like they were just installed), gave the administrators complete permissions, uploaded a picture, and tried to embed it in a post using (see screen captures).

I just don't understand why this isn't working!

Ok. after quite some testing, I have found out:

1. If I clear the gallery tables, and manually put the values (config) stuff in, I can get it to work on local host, using wampserver (apache 2.2.11 and php 5.2.9-2).

2. If I try the same thing on line (apache 2.2.14 and php 5.2.11), the only way to get it to work is to allow guest access to EVERYTHING (meaning able to see all), which I don't have to do on local host.

This makes me wonder if it might be a PHP thing!

I think your group-connections are messed up.
You may check to which groups your user(s) belong.

Question....

I want to have the ability to right click a picture in the gallery and then be able to highlight the url with the file extension (.jpg, .gif, .png) instead it looks like I am getting the .php info and not able to hotlink to other sites... I have hot-linking disabled but I am still unable to get the right extensions... is this possible or what do I have to edit so I can?

Thanks in advance...

This is not really changeable while keeping the ability to restrict access in the albums.

Thanks Nick.

I have got, what I consider the answer, sortof. Some may agree. some may not, but here it goes:

1. Installed fresh copy of 3.0.6 then the gallery. It worked like a champ, including [album]......[/album].
2. Installed fresh copy of 3.0.1, then upgraded to 3.0.6, then the gallery. It didn't work to embed pictures, including [album]......[/album].
3. (other testing). Did the same with Announcement Center, same results. In that if I did a fresh install, AOK, if I did an upgrade, it would log the user off, if they clicked on an announcement that took them to a secure forum.

So my conclusion is that phpbb's database_upgrade messed things up.

Nick:

I got the problem resolved, and it was definitely with the database_upgrade.php. For some reason, both on the localhost AND online, the conversion script added in hidden characters at the end of the cookie domain! Since it happened both on localhost and online, it can't be the database engine (one is windows and the other linux). I posted the details in http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1910785. I PM'd this post to you (jpg screen caps), in case the moderator removes it; I'm not expecting a reply

Hi,
Im sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.

I have just installed gallery.
I followed the instructions exactly as asked. I get the following error whilst trying to access the.mods tab in my acu and also when clicking the gallery link on the user index page.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method cache::obtain_album_list() in /home/memphisd/public_html/Forum/gallery/includes/permissions.php on line 42

I have attached lines 40 to 45 of permissions.php below for reference incase someone can spot somthing

$gallery_config['loaded'] = true;
}
$albums = $cache->obtain_album_list();
$permissions = $permission_parts['misc'] = $permission_parts['m'] = $permission_parts['c'] = $permission_parts['i'] = array();
$permission_parts['i'] = array('i_view', 'i_watermark', 'i_upload', 'i_approve', 'i_edit', 'i_delete', 'i_report', 'i_rate');
$permission_parts['c'] = array('c_read', 'c_post', 'c_edit', 'c_delete');

I really hope someone can help.

Right, so heres a plan.

Gonna delete entire board and re-install.
